A E-mail I sent today (Saturday, Feb 11th 2006)
Hi Urban Funk,
"Thanks for coming to Morris (Middle of Nowhere) Minnesota to bring some "hip hop" to our small "very quiet" reserve, rural, campus, community last week! I was especially cool with you guys asking me to show the "wave"-people around town kept on saying "good job"! My reason for e-mailing you all is that I just wanted to help you all through an idea that came to mind. What do you think about having a photographer come join your crew and take pictures throughout the performance-especially during the times you pick volunteers from the audience. I would've been willing to pay my picture to show folks how I did the wave. Then a certain percentage of the profits from the pictures can go to some local community charity of the place you do the performance-just and idea? Please feel free to contact me.
UMMAlumn livin' in Morris since 99',
Sal da Pal
P.S. I'm trying to get a hip hop class started through our community ed classes after your guys' performance. A co-worker/friend of mine asked me how her kids can learn all that breakdancing stuff you guys did. I contacted a friend of mine (who also was asked to come to the stage to do the wave), who does "poppin' moves). Keep up the good work!

In RedCloud’s freshman year of high school he came to realize that life that his family and friends had chosen for themselves was not the life he wanted. He was “jumped out” of a gang that had long been the center of his life. At this point in life, RedCloud focused his time and energy on school, martial arts and hip hop. He graduated in 1996 from high school.
By the age of 17, RedCloud had honed his freestyle and battle rap skills to a level high enough to beat well respected competitors. In the next few years RedCloud made his mark and became a local favorite at elite hip hop clubs in the Los Angeles underground scene. ..."

My life before Christ was sex, drugs and hip hop. My life was a rollercoaster; extreme highs and even more extreme lows. Sickness, depression, fast money, near death situations and poverty were common during my life before Christ.
I came to Christ during my impoverished state of life. I was homeless, sleeping on floors and couches and hustling for basic necessities. My life had changed drastically over the past few years and I was focused on getting back what I had lost and more. In February 2004, I prayed (yes, heathens pray too) to God asking for a more stable way of life. I specifically asked that I would know my wife, have a home, a job, and be able to make the music that I loved.
