The Temple of Hiphop is a ministry, archive, School, and Society (M.A.S.S.) founded by KRS-One. Its goal is to maintain and promote hip hop culture. The Temple of Hiphop maintains that hip hop is a genuine political movement and culture, as it has been accepted by the United Nations as a culture. A E-mail I sent today (Saturday, Feb 11th 2006)
Hi Urban Funk,
"Thanks for coming to Morris (Middle of Nowhere) Minnesota to bring some "hip hop" to our small "very quiet" reserve, rural, campus, community last week! I was especially cool with you guys asking me to show the "wave"-people around town kept on saying "good job"! My reason for e-mailing you all is that I just wanted to help you all through an idea that came to mind. What do you think about having a photographer come join your crew and take pictures throughout the performance-especially during the times you pick volunteers from the audience. I would've been willing to pay my picture to show folks how I did the wave. Then a certain percentage of the profits from the pictures can go to some local community charity of the place you do the performance-just and idea? Please feel free to contact me.

P.S. I'm trying to get a hip hop class started through our community ed classes after your guys' performance. A co-worker/friend of mine asked me how her kids can learn all that breakdancing stuff you guys did. I contacted a friend of mine (who also was asked to come to the stage to do the wave), who does "poppin' moves). Keep up the good work!
